Johnnie Wittig (full name: John Carl Wittig; Hans) played pitcher from 1938 until 1949 for the New York Giants and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Giants from 1938 - 1943 and Red Sox in 1949. Over 5 seasons, he started 39 games, won 10 games, struck out 121 batters, and had a 4.89 ERA. Born on June 16, 1914 in Baltimore, MD (All Transactions), Wittig stood 6' 0" and weighed 180 lb.
