John Riedling is a professional baseball player who is currently a free agent. He hails from Fort Lauderdale in Florida and started his baseball career in high school. He is a right-handed batter and thrower and started his Major League Baseball career with the Cincinnati Reds. The team chose him suring the 22nd round of the Major League Baseball Draft in the 1994 season. He had his debut in the major league on August 30, 200 for the Cincinnati Reds with which he spent the first few seasons of his MLB career. Before he had his shot at the major leagues, he spent a few seasons in the minor leagues, playing for the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League for the 2007 season. After four years with the Reds, he was released by the team making him a free agent. According to sources, he played quite well in the relief pitcher position for his MLB teams.

 

As of the 2008 season, he recorded 17 wins and had 13 losses. He recorded 4.41 earned run average and made 198 strikeouts. In 2005, he signed with the Florida Marlins but was released by the team which makes him a free agent again. At present, he works as a baseball instructor.
