A former American football player, John George Reger was born on September 11, 1931 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He went to college at the University of Pittsburgh where he played college football which opened his door to the National Football League. NFL is the highest level of professional American football that was formed by eleven teams in 1920.

 

John Reger wears a No. 50 jersey and a football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers (1955-1963) and Washington Redskins (1964-1966). He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The team is currently a member of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the NFL. Steelers played their games in Pitt Stadium and Forbes Field, Reger as a member of the team, had the chance to show his best skills and techniques in the game venues. Playing for the Washington Redskins, a professional American football team based in Washington D.C. area is not that easy for Reger. As the team plays at FedEx Field in Landover (Maryland), John Reger did extremely well in his games with the Redskins. He set a fair record in his baseball career and went to 3 Pro Bowls during his 12-year career.
