John Mengelt (full name: John P. Mengelt; Crash) played Guard from 1972 until 1981 for the Cincinnati Royals, Kansas City-Omaha Kings, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriors. Over 10 seasons, he played 636 games, scored 6218 points (9.8 ppg) and grabbed 1221 rebounds (1.9 rpg). Mengelt also dished out 1329 assists (2.1 apg), made 324 steals (0.5 spg), and blocked 28 shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Lacrosse, Wisconsin on October 16, 1949, Mengelt stands 6-2 and weighs 195 lbs. He attended high school at Wilkie in Elwood, Indiana and college at Auburn University. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the 2nd round (4th pick, 21st overall) of the 1971 NBA draft.
