About John Lowenstein:
John Lowenstein (full name: John Lee Lowenstein; no nicknames) played leftfielder, third baseman and second baseman from 1970 until 1985 for the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles. He played for the Indians from 1970 - 1977, Rangers in 1978 and Orioles from 1979 - 1985. Over 16 seasons, he played 1368 games, hit 116 home runs, drove in 510 runs, and stole 128 bases. Born on January 27, 1947 in Wolf Point, MT, Lowenstein stands 6' 0" and weighs 175 lb. He attended Norte Vista (Riverside, CA) high school and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 18th round of the 1968 amateur draft.
