John Long (full name: John Eddie Long; Johnny) played Guard-Forward from 1979 until 1997 for the Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors. Over 14 seasons, he played 893 games, scored 12131 points (13.6 ppg) and grabbed 2492 rebounds (2.8 rpg). Long also dished out 1738 assists (1.9 apg), made 912 steals (1.0 spg), and blocked 180 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Romulus, Michigan on August 28, 1956, Long stands 6-5 and weighs 195 lbs. He attended high school at Romulus in Romulus, Michigan and college at University of Detroit Mercy. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 2nd round (7th pick, 29th overall) of the 1978 NBA draft.
