Born on June 1, 1961, Johnny Ray “John” Huston is a professional golfer who hails from Mt. Vernon, Illinois. A graduate of Auburn University in Alabama, Huston became a player of the university’s golf team. He went to professional golf playing in 1983 and since then has won a number of tournaments including the PGA Tour in 1990 where he defeated Mark Calcavecchia.
In his entire career, he has recorded seven PGA Tours wins so far and had an astonishing record of 80 tournaments where he finished in the top ten. He was able to defeat Mark O’Meara in the 1992 PGA Tours and in 1994, he won against Billy Andrade. In the 1998 United Airlines Hawaiian Open, he scored 260 in a 72-hole game and has set a record for that achievement. He played in the 1996 Memorial Tournament where he recorded 61 courses. According to reviews, in the first 17 years of his professional career, he belonged in the Top 100 money list every year. In the 2003 Southern Farm Bureau Classic tournament, he overpowered Brenden Pappas of South Africa and won the title.
According to reviews, his greatest major championship achievement was in the 1990 Masters Tournament where he placed T3. He won the fourth place in the U.S. Open in 2000. He was also included in the Top 20 Official World Golf Rankings.
