Former American football left guard, John Hannah had played for the New England Patriots. He was born on April 4, 1951 in Canton, Georgia. His father is an NFL player, Herbert Hannah.

 

He also played tackle and guard for the University of Alabama from 1970 to 1972 where he received All-American honors twice. Hannah also participated in wrestling, shot put, and discuss throw while he was studying at the university. He then decided to join the Patriots in 1973 as the team’s fourth overall pick during the 1973 draft. He was named All-Pro seven times, 2nd Team All-Pro three times, and once in All-AFC. Hannah is among the few players who were named to the National Football League All-Decade Team twice. In the National Football League 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, Hannah was chosen to be the #1 guard in the team.
