John Fulgham Memorabilia & Collectibles

John Fulgham is a retired professional baseball player who played in the Major League Baseball from 1979 to 1980. He was a right-hand pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. Before joining the league, he attended Pattonville High School and then the University of Miami. 

Although Fulgham played for the Cardinals for the entire duration of his stay in the MLB, he was originally drafted by the New York Yankees during the 1976 Amateur Draft. He was their 15thoverall pick. However, he declined from joining the team. During the secondary phase of the draft, only then was he selected by the Cardinals.  

During his first season with the Cardinals, he was able to pitch a complete game shutout for his first game. He had an earned run average of 2.53 for that particular season. For the 146 innings that he pitched in, he only allowed 123 hits and 26 walks.  

He injured his rotator cuff in 1980 and decided to play in the minor leagues after that. His MLB stats by the end of that season include a 2.84 earned run average, 189 hits, 17 home runs, 58 walks and 158 strikeouts. Fulgham played for St. Petersberg and the Louisville Redbirds in the minor leagues.
