About John Elway Memorabilia & Collectibles
John Albert Elway, Jr. is a retired American football quarterback who was a pure-blooded Bronco. He played college football at Stanford and was drafted by the Baltimore Colts, first pick in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft and was traded to the Denver Broncos before commencing his first play. During his career, Elway has set team records for passing attempts, completions and yards. In 1987, he helped his team on a 98-yard, game-tying touchdown drive in AFC Championship Game against the Cleveland Browns. Elway, together with his teammates such as running back
Terrell Davis and tight end
Shannon Sharpe, led the Broncos to win in the Super Bowl XXXII in 1997. The Broncos won again the following year in the Super Bowl XXXIII, where John Elway was voted as MVP. He had much help from 2 Pro Bowl wide receivers Ed McCaffrey and
Rod Smith. It was then Elway’s last game as he retired after. He was introduced into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004.
