Former professional American football running back, John Cappelletti has played for the Los Angeles Rams and the San Diego Chargers. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 9, 1952. He is about 6’1” tall.
He had studied at Pennsylvania State University where he was able to receive the Heisman Trophy in the year 1973. Cappelletti had also studied at Monsignor Bonner High School. He was a senior when he was able to gain 1,522 yards all on286 carries where he scored 17 touchdowns. Cappelletti has then earned the Maxwell Award as well as the All-America honors leading to the John Cappelletti signed Penn State throwback white Jersey w/""Heisman '73"" inscription as an important item. He was also able to gain 100 yards in thirteen challenging games and had a career total of 2,639 yards and 29 powerful touchdowns for an average of 120 yards per game and blazing 5.1 yards per carry in his two years of playing in the school. He then played in professional football in 1974 to 1983 for the Los Angeles Rams and the San Diego Chargers.
