About John Block:
John Block (full name: John William Block Jr.; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1967 until 1976 for the Los Angeles Lakers, San Diego Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Kansas City-Omaha Kings, New Orleans Jazz and Chicago Bulls. Over 10 seasons, he played 597 games, scored 7106 points (11.9 ppg) and grabbed 3965 rebounds (6.6 rpg). Block also dished out 805 assists (1.3 apg), made 111 steals (0.2 spg), and blocked 67 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Los Angeles, California on April 16, 1944, Block stands 6-9 and weighs 207 lbs. He attended high school at Glendale in Glendale, California and college at University of Southern California. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 3rd round (7th pick, 27th overall) of the 1966 NBA draft.
