A goaltender from Sweden, Johan Backlund played as a professional ice hockey in the National Hockey League (NHL). He is presently affiliated with the Philadelphia Flyers, a team based in Pennsylvania. The said group is part of the Atlantic Division coming from the Eastern Conference of NHL. The team was best known for being the first among other teams to have won the Stanley Cup, with a cluster of having only six members for the past 25 seasons in between the years 1942 to 1943. Later that season, Johan Backlund established his official NHL debut fighting against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, he had an early exit from the game due to an injury. In 2010, he got his tenure with the Flyers extended having agreed to another two-year contract in June 11.
