Joey Porter was born as Joseph Porter on March 22, 1977. He is a professional football player who currently plays in the National Football League. He was a high school football star at Foothill High School where he was named to the All-Conference team and made highest rushing yards and helped the team reach the playoffs. He then went to Colorado State University where he had his college football experience as part of the defensive line. He was selected by The Sports Network to become part of the All-Western Athletic Conference.
After his great college career, he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers as a professional football player. He was chosen by the said team in the National Football League draft in 1999. He played for the team until the 2006 season and then joined the Miami Dolphins in 2007. After two years with the team, he signed with the Arizona Cardinals and is currently part of the team’s active roster.
He was part of the Super Bowl XL Championship and was also named to the National Football League All-Decade Team for the 2000s. He was named to three All-Pro teams and four times to the Pro Bowl. As of the 2009 season, he had made 92.0 sacks and 12 interceptions, with 529 tackles in his professional career.
