Joey Cora (full name: Jose Manuel (Amaro) Cora; no nicknames) played second baseman and shortstop from 1987 until 1998 for the San Diego Padres, Chicago White Sox, Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Padres from 1987 - 1990, White Sox from 1991 - 1994, Mariners from 1995 - 1998 and Indians in 1998. Over 11 seasons, he played 1119 games, hit 30 home runs, drove in 624 runs, and stole 117 bases. Born on May 14, 1965 in Caguas, P.R., Cora stands 5' 7" and weighs 150 lb. He attended high school and was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 1st round (23rd pick) of the 1985 amateur draft.
