Joseph “Joe” James Wolf is a former American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He was born in Kohler, Wisconsin and was drafted by the Clippers as the 13th overall pick in the 1987 NBA Draft.
During high school, Wolf was named as Wisconsin’s all- time greatest high school basketball player because of his dominant 4-year performance at Kohler High School. He played college basketball at the University of North Carolina.
On October 5, 1990, he signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Denver Nuggets. Spending 2 years playing for the team, he was released by the Nuggets on September 1992. He then signed as a free agent for Boston Celtics. His contract with the Celtics was waived on November 19, 1992 and after a month, he signed as a free agent with the Portland Trail Blazers. He played spontaneously with the Blazers but after a year, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers and signed as a free agent again. He continued to play basketball to different teams namely the Baloncesto Leon (1993-1994), New Orleans Hornets (1995-96, 1999), Orlando Magic in 1996 as well as the Milwaukee Bucks (1996-97).
In 2008, the head coach of Idaho Stampede of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League let Joe Wolf join the coaching staff of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Joe Wolf (full name: Joseph James Wolf; Joe) played Forward-Center from 1988 until 1999 for the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks. Over 11 seasons, he played 592 games, scored 2485 points (4.2 ppg) and grabbed 1933 rebounds (3.3 rpg). Wolf also dished out 596 assists (1.0 apg), made 257 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 131 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Kohler, Wisconsin on December 17, 1964, Wolf stands 6-11 and weighs 230 lbs. He attended high school at Kohler in Kohler, Wisconsin and college at University of North Carolina. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1st round (13th pick, 13th overall) of the 1987 NBA draft.
