Joe Stripp (full name: Joseph Valentine Stripp; Jersey Joe) played third baseman and first baseman from 1932 until 1938 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Boston Bees and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Dodgers from 1932 - 1937, Bees in 1938 and Cardinals in 1938. Over 11 seasons, he played 1146 games, hit 24 home runs, drove in 575 runs, and stole 50 bases. Born on February 3, 1903 in Harrison, NJ, Stripp stood 5' 11" and weighed 175 lb. He attended Harrison (Harrison, NJ) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on July 2, 1928 and he played his final game on October 2, 1938. Over his career, Stripp made $10,000.
