Joe Oliver (full name: Joseph Melton Oliver; no nicknames) played catcher from 1989 until 2001 for the Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Reds from 1989 - 1997, Brewers in 1995, Tigers in 1998, Mariners from 1998 - 2000, Pirates in 1999, Yankees in 2001 and Red Sox in 2001. Over 13 seasons, he played 1076 games, hit 102 home runs, drove in 320 runs, and stole 13 bases. Born on July 24, 1965 in Memphis, TN, Oliver stands 6' 3" and weighs 215 lb. He attended William R. Boone (Orlando, FL) high school and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round of the 1983 amateur draft. His debut was on July 15, 1989 and he played his final game on October 6, 2001.
