Joe Morgan Memorabilia

Former Major League Baseball second baseman, Joe Morgan is considered by many people as the greatest player to have played in the said position. He was born in Bonham, Texas on September 19, 1943.

 

He was an amateur free agent when he was signed by the Houston Colt .45s in 1962. He joined the Cincinnati Reds in the 1972 season and was able to reach a new level in his playing career. He is currently a broadcaster and was able to grab the CableAce award in 1990 and the Emmy awards for sports analysis in 1998 and 2005. Morgan had his career in broadcasting on 1985 for the Cincinnati Reds. He then had a nine year stint being an announcer for the San Francisco Giants. Morgan is currently a member of the ESPN’s lead baseball broadcast team with Jon Miller.
