About Joe Hicks:

Joe Hicks (full name: William Joseph Hicks; no nicknames) played outfielder from 1959 until 1963 for the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators and New York Mets. He played for the White Sox from 1959 - 1960, Senators from 1961 - 1962 and Mets in 1963. Over 5 seasons, he played 212 games, hit 12 home runs, drove in 41 runs, and stole 3 bases. Born on April 7, 1933 in Ivy, VA, Hicks stands 6' 0" and weighs 180 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 18, 1959 and he played his final game on September 29, 1963. Common misspellings of his name include William Joe jose Joseph Hicks.
