Joe Adcock (full name: Joseph Wilbur Adcock; no nicknames) played first baseman and leftfielder from 1950 until 1966 for the Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Braves, Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Angels. He played for the Reds from 1950 - 1952, Braves from 1953 - 1962, Indians in 1963 and Angels from 1964 - 1966. Over 17 seasons, he played 1959 games, hit 336 home runs, drove in 823 runs, and stole 20 bases. Born on October 30, 1927 in Coushatta, LA, Adcock stood 6' 4" and weighed 210 lb. He attended Coushatta (Coushatta, LA) high school. His debut was on April 23, 1950 and he played his final game on October 1, 1966.
