Jimmy Sexton (full name: Jimmy Dale Sexton; no nicknames) played shortstop, pinch runner and third baseman from 1977 until 1983 for the Seattle Mariners, Houston Astros, Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the Mariners in 1977, Astros from 1978 - 1979, Athletics from 1981 - 1982 and Cardinals in 1983. Over 6 seasons, he played 236 games, hit 5 home runs, drove in 53 runs, and stole 36 bases. Born on December 15, 1951 in Mobile, AL, Sexton stands 5' 10" and weighs 175 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 2, 1977 and he played his final game on October 2, 1983. Common misspellings of his name include Jimmy Dale james jim jimmie Jimmy Sexton.
