Jimmy Johnson was born on August 14, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas. Johnson was the first football coach whose teams amazingly won both a NCAA Division 1A National Championship and a Super Bowl.
He started as an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech in 1965 and in 1966 at Picayune College. It was in 1967 when Johnson became an assistant coach at Wichita State. He then decided to move on to another Big 8 school to become a defensive line coach at the University of Oklahoma where he worked with Barry Switzer. It was in 1989 when Johnson was hired by the new owner of the Dallas Cowboys as the team’s head coach. He then became the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys in 1989 to 1993. thus, the Jimmy Johnson signed Cowboys Riddell mini helmet was made as favorite item to many fans.

Jimmy Johnson (fullname: James Earl Johnson; no nicknames) played Defensive Back from 1961 until 1976 for the San Francisco 49ers. He played 213 games, intercepted 47 passes and recovered 7 fumbles. Born in Dallas, TX on March 31, 1938, Johnson stands 6'2 and weighs 187 lbs. He attended college at UCLA. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 4th round (31st overall) of the 1961 AFL Draft. Johnson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
