Jimmy Brown (full name: James Robertson Brown; no nicknames) played second baseman, third baseman and shortstop from 1937 until 1946 for the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Cardinals from 1937 - 1943 and Pirates in 1946. Over 8 seasons, he played 890 games, hit 9 home runs, drove in 465 runs, and stole 39 bases. Born on April 25, 1910 in Jamesville, NC, Brown stood 5' 8" and weighed 165 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 23, 1937 and he played his final game on September 15, 1946.
