Jimmie DeShong (full name: James Brooklyn DeShong; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1932 until 1939 for the Philadelphia Athletics, New York Yankees and Washington Senators. He played for the Athletics in 1932, Yankees from 1934 - 1935 and Senators from 1936 - 1939. Over 7 seasons, he started 100 games, won 47 games, struck out 273 batters, and had a 5.08 ERA. Born on November 30, 1909 in Harrisburg, PA (All Transactions), DeShong stood 5' 11" and weighed 165 lb. He attended high school.
