About Jim Wiemer:
Jim Wiemer (full name: Jim Wiemer; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1983 until 1994 for the Buffalo Sabres, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings and Boston Bruins. He played for the Sabres from 1983 - 1985, Rangers from 1985 - 1986, Oilers in 1988, Kings in 1989 and Bruins from 1990 - 1994. Over 10 seasons, he played 325 games, scored 29 goals, and made 72 assists. Born in Sudbury, Ontario on January 9, 1961, Wiemer stands 6-4 and weighs 216 lbs. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 4th round (83rd overall) of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.
