Known to be one of the most versatile athletes in the modern sports, Jim Thorpe whose real name is Jacobus Franciscus Thorpe was born in Prague, Oklahoma, USA on May 28, 1888.

He was a Native American athlete that was able to win the Olympic gold medals in the 1919 pentathlon and the decathlon.
