Jim Spanarkel (full name: James Gerard Spanarkel; Jim) played Guard-Forward from 1980 until 1984 for the Philadelphia 76ers and Dallas Mavericks. Over 5 seasons, he played 259 games, scored 2505 points (9.7 ppg) and grabbed 652 rebounds (2.5 rpg). Spanarkel also dished out 572 assists (2.2 apg), made 248 steals (1.0 spg), and blocked 38 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 28, 1957, Spanarkel stands 6-5 and weighs 190 lbs. He attended high school at Hudson Catholic in Jersey City, New Jersey and college at Duke University. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1st round (16th pick, 16th overall) of the 1979 NBA draft.
