Jim Rutherford (full name: Jim Rutherford; no nicknames) played goalie from 1971 until 1983 for the Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Kings. He played for the Red Wings from 1971 - 1983, Penguins from 1972 - 1974, Leafs in 1981 and Kings from 1981 - 1982. Over 13 seasons, he played 457 games, scored 0 goals, and made 15 assists. Born in Beeton, Ontario on February 17, 1949, Rutherford stands 5-8 and weighs 168 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1st round (10th overall) of the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft.
