Jim Pollard (full name: James Clifford Pollard; Jim, The Kangaroo Kid) played Forward-Center from 1949 until 1955 for the Minneapolis Lakers. Over 7 seasons, he played 438 games, scored 5762 points (13.2 ppg) and grabbed 2487 rebounds (5.7 rpg). Pollard also dished out 1417 assists (3.2 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Oakland, California on July 9, 1922, Pollard stood 6-4 and weighed 185 lbs. He attended high school at Oakland Technical in Oakland, California and college at Stanford University. He was drafted by the Chicago Stags in the 1947 BAA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1978.
