Jim Paxson (full name: James Joseph Paxson; Jim) played Guard-Forward from 1980 until 1990 for the Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics. Over 11 seasons, he played 784 games, scored 11199 points (14.3 ppg) and grabbed 1593 rebounds (2.0 rpg). Paxson also dished out 2300 assists (2.9 apg), made 951 steals (1.2 spg), and blocked 93 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Kettering, Ohio on July 9, 1957, Paxson stands 6-6 and weighs 200 lbs. He attended high school at Archbishop Alter in Kettering, Ohio and college at University of Dayton. He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1st round (12th pick, 12th overall) of the 1979 NBA draft.
