Jim McMahon played with the
Chicago Bears. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on August 21, 1959.
McMahon had attended Brigham Young University and was able to finish his college career with 71 NCAA records. He was then chosen by the Bears during the first round of the National Football League Draft in 1982 where he became the team’s fifth overall pick. McMahon successfully won the Bears’ starting quarterback job when he was a rookie and he was also named to numerous All-Rookie teams.
