Jim Dowd (full name: Jim Dowd; no nicknames) played center from 1992 until 2008 for the New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche and Philadelphia Flyers. He played for the Devils from 1992 - 2007, Canucks in 1996, Islanders in 1997, Flames in 1998, Oilers from 1999 - 2000, Wild from 2001 - 2004, Canadies in 2004, Blackhawks in 2006, Avalanche in 2006 and Flyers in 2008. Over 16 seasons, he played 728 games, scored 71 goals, and made 168 assists. Born in Brick, New Jersey on December 25, 1968, Dowd stands 6-0 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 8th round (149th overall) of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
