Jim Constable (full name: Jimmy Lee Constable; Sheriff) played pitcher from 1956 until 1963 for the New York Giants, Washington Senators, San Francisco Giants, Cleveland Indians and Milwaukee Braves. He played for the Giants from 1956 - 1957, Senators in 1958, Giants from 1958 - 1963, Indians in 1958 and Braves in 1962. Over 5 seasons, he started 6 games, won 3 games, struck out 59 batters, and had a 4.87 ERA. Born on June 14, 1933 in Jonesborough, TN, Constable stood 6' 1" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on June 24, 1956 and he played his final game on April 27, 1963. Common misspellings of his name include Jimmy james Jim jimmie jimmy Lee Sheriff Constable.
