Jennie Finch was among the pitchers who have won the gold medal during the Summer Olympics. She was born on September 3, 1980 in La Mirada, California.
She has attended La Mirada High School where she played basketball and volleyball. She was a sophomore when she became an ALL-CIF Division II choice in softball and also an All-Suburban League selection. She had also played softball for the University of Arizona where she became a three-time All-American pitcher and first-bseman and “Honda Award” winner for the Player of the Year being a member of the Wildcat softball team.
