Jean Lemieux (full name: Jean Lemieux; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1974 until 1978 for the Atlanta Flames and Washington Capitals. He played for the Flames from 1974 - 1976 and Capitals from 1976 - 1978. Over 5 seasons, he played 204 games, scored 23 goals, and made 63 assists. Born in Noranda, Quebec on May 31, 1952, Lemieux stands 6-1 and weighs 180 lbs. He was drafted by the Atlanta Flames in the 3rd round (34th overall) of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft.
