About Jason White Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
Jason White played as a quarterback for the University of Oklahoma. He is from Tuttle, Oklahoma and was born on June 19, 1980. As a high school student, he played for the Tuttle Tigers.
White was already with the University of Oklahoma Sooners in 2000 but chose to redshirt his true freshman season. By 2001, he competed against Nate Hybl for the position of quarterback in the team. Due to an injury in a game against Texas, Hybl was unable to return for a long time and this gave White a chance to play. He showed great skills and thrilled many a Sooners fans but he also suffered from an injury therefore giving the position back to Hybl. The same thing happened the following year but by 2003, White won the Heisman Trophy and the Davey O’ Brien awards, and even led the Sooners in the Big 12 Championship game against Kansas State.
Despite his colorful college football career, White did not receive any tryout from an NFL team and was not chosen in the 2005 NFL Draft. He finally signed as a free agent for the Tennessee Titans but consequently decided to quit pro football because of weak knees. He however showed interest in becoming a coach in the future.
