Jaroslav Modry (full name: Jaroslav Modry; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1994 until 2008 for the New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators, Los Angeles Kings, Atlanta Thrashers, Dallas Stars and Philadelphia Flyers. He played for the Devils from 1994 - 1995, Senators in 1996, Kings from 1996 - 2008, Thrashers in 2006, Stars in 2007 and Flyers in 2008. Over 13 seasons, he played 725 games, scored 49 goals, and made 201 assists. Born in Ceske Budejovice, Czechoslovakia on February 27, 1971, Modry stands 6-2 and weighs 220 lbs. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 9th round (179th overall) of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.
