A National Hockey League player,
Jaromir Jagr is currently the captain of the New York Rangers. He was born on February 15, 1972 in Czechoslovakia.
He was only sixteen when he played at the highest level of competition in Czechoslovakia. Jagr is said to be the first Czechoslovakian who was drafted by the National Hockey League. He was then taken by the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1990 National Hockey League Draft as their fifth overall pick. Jagr was also the youngest player in NHL history to score a goal in the Stanley Cup Finals. It was on 1994 to 1995 NHL seasons when he bagged his first Art Ross Trophy where he was able to accomplish 32 goals. Jagr also grabbed Hart Trophy as the league’s most valuable player and also the Lester B. Pearson Award leading to the acknowledgement of Jaromir Jagr autographed NY Rangers puck. He had led the Czech Republic’s team to a gold medal at the Nagano Olympics on 1998 and eventually made the Jaromir Jagr autographed NY Rangers puck an important item.
He was traded to the Washington Capitals in 2001. Jagr has also represented his country many times. It was in 1994 when he and Martin Straka came in the middle of the World Championships. He was unfortunately hurt in many games. Jagr was also a member of the team during the 2004 World Championships. He was then injured more during the 2006 Winter Olympics.
