James Blake is currently the 9th ranked player in the world. He was born on December 28, 1979 in Yonkers, New York, United States.
Blake came from a very athletic family. His brother Thomas Jr. is a professional tennis player and so is his three older half-brothers, Jason, Christopher, Howard, and half-sister, Michelle and made the James Blake autographed tennis ball with photo shadowbox a cool item to have. He had studied at Fairfield Warde High School and when he was in college, he attended Harvard University but had lately decided to drop out from the university to pursue a career in tennis. It was in 200 when Blake was hailed as the Rookie of the Year for the World Team Tennis season. He fortunately had recovered from these injuries in 2005 and had re-entered the ATP Top 50. Blake was able to win the 2005 Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament where he defeated Feliciano Lopez. He was also qualified for the 2006 Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai for the first time. Blake is currently hopeful to be in the United States team for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
