Jack Spring (full name: Jack Russell Spring; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1955 until 1965 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox, Washington Senators, Los Angeles Angels, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Phillies in 1955, Red Sox in 1957, Senators in 1958, Angels from 1961 - 1964, Cubs in 1964, Cardinals in 1964 and Indians in 1965. Over 8 seasons, he started 5 games, won 12 games, struck out 86 batters, and had a 4.26 ERA. Born on March 11, 1933 in Spokane, WA, Spring stands 6' 1" and weighs 175 lb. He attended Lewis & Clark (Spokane, WA) high school. His debut was on April 16, 1955 and he played his final game on August 1, 1965. Over his career, Spring made $22,500. Common misspellings of his name include Jack jach Jack jakie joe Russell Spring.
