Jack Rothrock (full name: John Houston Rothrock; no nicknames) played outfielder, shortstop and second baseman from 1931 until 1937 for the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the Red Sox from 1931 - 1932, White Sox in 1932, Cardinals from 1934 - 1935 and Athletics in 1937. Over 11 seasons, he played 1014 games, hit 28 home runs, drove in 498 runs, and stole 76 bases. Born on March 14, 1905 in Long Beach, CA, Rothrock stood 5' 11" and weighed 165 lb. He attended Polytechnic (Long Beach, CA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on July 28, 1925 and he played his final game on October 2, 1937. Over his career, Rothrock made $3,000.
