Jack Knott (full name: John Henry Knott; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1933 until 1946 for the St. Louis Browns, Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the Browns from 1933 - 1938, White Sox from 1938 - 1940 and Athletics from 1941 - 1946. Over 11 seasons, he started 192 games, won 82 games, struck out 484 batters, and had a 4.97 ERA. Born on March 2, 1907 in Dallas, TX, Knott stood 6' 2" and weighed 200 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 13, 1933 and he played his final game on May 15, 1946.
