Football scholars all agree that Jack Ham is one of the best outside linebacker in the entire history of the NFL. Jack Ham was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and went to Bishop McCort High School. He attended Penn State and played for the Nittany Lions as their starting linebacker for a total of three seasons. Ham was an All-American and by 1990 he was included in the College Football Hall of Fame.
Ham was made the 34th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers after he was selected during round two of the 1971 NFL Draft. He stayed with the Steelers until his retirement in 1982. In total, Ham was selected into eight Pro Bowls and made it to eight All-Pros as well.
