JaMarcus Russell is a free agent and an American football quarterback born August 9, 1985 in Mobile, Alabama the city known as “The City of Six Flags”. During JaMarcus Russell’s early years he attended Lillie B. Williamson High School in the same city, he became extremely active in every football game in the school and continued to set excellent statistics for a player and always reached every state championship game. His 10,774 career passing yards became the standard in the Alabama High School Athletic Association record and still remains as the number one in rank as of today.
During JaMarcus Russell’s College years he signed to different teams such as the one in Louisiana State University that he chose instead of Florida State University, known as LSU Tigers, he uses the number 4 in the beginning of his stay in LSU Tigers but eventually changes to number 2.
He is also one of those few quarterbacks who accepted different awards such as the “Columbus Touchdown Club SEC Player of the Year (2005)”, “4x SEC Offensive Player of the Week (1 in 2005, 3 in 2006)”, “First-team All-SEC by the Associated Press and SEC coaches (2006)’, Manning Award (2006) and a “Davey O'Brien Award semifinalist (2006)” .
