Hulk Hogan or Terry Gene Bollea outside the ring, grew up in Tampa, Florida. His father, Peter Bollea, was a construction man while his mother, Ruth, was a dance teacher and homemaker. When he was just a boy, Terry pitched for the Little League Baseball. At 16, he began his career as a professional boxer. Gerald and Jack Brisco’s attention was also caught by the physical stature of Hogan and it was them who convinced him to try wrestling. And that marked his career as a wrestler.
