Howie Young (full name: Howie Young; no nicknames) played defenseman/right wing from 1961 until 1971 for the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks and Vancouver Canucks. He played for the Red Wings from 1961 - 1968, Black Hawks from 1964 - 1969 and Canucks in 1971. Over 8 seasons, he played 336 games, scored 12 goals, and made 62 assists. Born in Toronto, Ontario on August 2, 1937, Young stood 5-11 and weighed 175 lbs.
