Formerly playing in the National Basketball Association is American professional basketball player Howard Eisley. He was playing for the Boston College Eagles basketball team before being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 1994 NBA Draft. He was the 30th overall pick in the draft.
Eisley played for well known teams during his playing career. From the Timberwolves, he was acquired by the San Antonio Spurs in 1995. He then played for the Utah Jazz from 1996-2000 and also in 2005, for the Dallas Mavericks in 2001, New York Knicks from 2002-2004, Phoenix Suns in 2004 and for the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets and Chicago Bulls in 2006. Eisley was at the center of controversy during the 1998 NBA Finals where he was playing for the Jazz against the Bulls. He made a 3-point shot during the first half of the game which was mistakenly disallowed by the referee although replays clearly showed that the ball was released before the shot clock expired. Howard Eisley (full name: Howard Jonathan Eisley; no nicknames) played Guard from 1995 until 2006 for the Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, Utah Jazz, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knickerbockers, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets. Over 12 seasons, he played 786 games, scored 5116 points (6.5 ppg) and grabbed 1324 rebounds (1.7 rpg). Eisley also dished out 2748 assists (3.5 apg), made 540 steals (0.7 spg), and blocked 83 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Detroit, Michigan on December 4, 1972, Eisley stands 6-2 and weighs 177 lbs. He attended high school at Southwestern in Detroit, Michigan and college at Boston College. He was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2nd round (3rd pick, 30th overall) of the 1994 NBA draft.
