About Horacio Ramirez Memorabilia & Collectibles


Horacio Ramirez is an American professional baseball player, who hails from Carson, California. Ramirez had his high school education at Inglewood High School in Inglewood, California. Ramirez is currently signed as free agent for the pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, positioned as pitcher. His pitching arsenals, as a pitcher, consist of a low 90's fastball, a slider, a cutter, and a curveball.

 

Ramirez began his professional baseball career in the Major League Baseball when he was drafted on June 3, 1997 by the Atlanta Braves in the 1997 amateur draft. He was the 5th round pick of the team. Ramirez was listed at 6 ft. 1 in. and 220 lbs. Posed as pitcher, he throws and bats as well with his left. Ramirez made his professional debut in the major leagues for the Atlanta Braves on April 2, 2003. Ramirez got off to an tremendous start in the 2004 seasons with a 2.39 earned run average in the first nine starts, prior to suffering a shoulder injury, even thought it was minor, it eventually caused him to be sidelined for the rest of the season, except for one relief appearance on September.

 

In the 2005 seasons, Ramirez finished with a record of 11-9 and an ERA of 4.63. On December 6, 2006, Ramirez was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Seattle Mariners for Rafael Soriano. And on March 12, 2008, Ramírez was released by the Mariners. On May 21, he signed a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals. On August 9, 2008, Ramírez was dealt to the Chicago White Sox for Paulo Orlando. And later that year, on December 11, Ramírez signed a one-year contract with the Kansas City Royals. Recently, in February 1, 2010, Ramirez signed a minor league deal with the San Francisco Giants.
