Hobie Landrith (full name: Hobart Neal Landrith; no nicknames) played catcher from 1950 until 1963 for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles and Washington Senators. He played for the Reds from 1950 - 1955, Cubs in 1956, Cardinals from 1957 - 1958, Giants from 1959 - 1961, Mets in 1962, Orioles from 1962 - 1963 and Senators in 1963. Over 14 seasons, he played 772 games, hit 34 home runs, drove in 179 runs, and stole 5 bases. Born on March 16, 1930 in Decatur, IL, Landrith stands 5' 10" and weighs 170 lb. He attended Northeastern (Detroit, MI) high school. His debut was on July 30, 1950 and he played his final game on August 7, 1963.
